LINCOLN Gets Ready for a Promising Market Overseas

Rumors may be circling that LINCOLN is heading towards a grim future. But parent company CFO Lewis Booth assures loyal LINCOLN consumers that efforts in placing the luxury vehicle brand on an upward track are already in progress. Plans to take LINCOLN to China by 2015 are already in the mix and a careful eye is being kept on additional overseas markets such as Brazil, Russia, and India. The Blue Oval currently has its feet in the country with other products and expects China's hunger for luxury brand vehicles to help leverage the success of LINCOLN.

In order to prime the luxury vehicle brand for China and make it its own, efforts are in place to separate LINCOLN's brand identity from its parent company. A key component of this strategy is the introduction of a new LINCOLN-specific design studio and fully dedicated LINCOLN design staff. The design team will be coached by LINCOLN executives who can contribute vital overseas market experience. Talk about brand loyalty!

TheBlue Oval believes that positioning LINCOLN in a global market will aid in increasing the brand's relevancy. If the market jump pans out, LINCOLN is expected to perform extremely well in China.

"There's going to be tremendous pull from China to have access to these great vehicles," says parent company CEO Alan Mulally, speaking about LINCOLN.1
