Our History

In the 1930's, Earl J. Haupt and W. Melvin Moyer started a business delivering coal in the Carbon County area. By 1945 the partnership grew, eventually leading to the purchase of a Ford franchise in Lehighton, PA. In 1957 they added the all new Edsel to their line up of cars and moved to what is now our present location on Route 443 in Lehighton. The Ford dealership thrived for many years, and in 2002, a new partnership was formed between Kent C. Newhart, the owner of Lehighton Ford, and Matt Millen, former Penn State football standout and holder of four Superbowl rings. Together they created what is now Lehighton Ford. With over 60 years of experience in providing our customers with excellent sales and service, we are confident the best is yet to come.
